Dr. Teresa Crowe

Meet Teresa Crowe, a doctoral-level social worker in the mental health field. With unique expertise in mental health and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College, Teresa writes true crime, mysteries, and psychological thrillers. Her writing reflects a deep understanding of the human psyche and the intricate interplay between personal narratives and societal contexts.

In her professional practice, Teresa is a professor of social work at Gallaudet University and works as a clinical social worker with deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals at Arundel Lodge, Inc., a community behavioral health clinic. Fluent in American Sign Language, she integrates the unique perspectives and experiences of the Deaf community into her academic research and authorial endeavors. Her academic and professional publications focus on social work, mental health, and resilience.

When Teresa isn’t penning her next book, you can find her strolling along the picturesque and sometimes turbulent shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland with her husband and canine companions, Trixie and Lolly.
